When we first started Knights of The Round Table we felt that rules were to restricting. We quickly found that without rules Mayhem insues so we have established the following list of rules so that everyone knows what they can and cannot do.
1. DO NOT advertise for other shards either in public chat or in PMs. Anyone found to be advertising other shards will find themselves firewalled with no questions asked.
2. We allow ONE account per IP address. If you require an additional account for your spouse, child, or roommate you will need to page staff so that they can set the account up. DO NOT try to create the account yourself or you will be jailed for 5 full days on first offense and banned the second time.
3. Accounts are NOT transferable. If you trade, sell or give your account to anyone we will know and that account will be deleted and the IP will be firewalled no questions asked.
4. We have autojail for bad language. Do not page staff because we will NOT unjail you. Jailword books are available at New Haven town center, take one because IGNORANCE of what words will get you jailed IS NOT acceptable.
5. If you start a Champion Spawn you MUST finish it. If you are overwhelmed please ask other players for assistance in public chat. If we find out that you have activated a champ and abandon it you will face:
1st offense – jailed 24 hours
2nd offense – jailed one full week (7 days/168 hours)
3rd offense- banned
IF you have an emergency and must leave an active champ you must first ask players if someone can come finish it for you then you MUST PM a staff member to let us know otherwise we will treat your leaving as an abandoned champ and you will do the time.
6. We use a take command for claiming corpses. Anyone found to not be using their take bag will be face:
1st offense - jailed 48 hours
2nd offense – lose your take bag and ALL its contents
3rd offense – banned from owning a take bag period.
If anyone has more than one take bag please page staff immediately so that we can remedy this. Owning more than one take bag causes the server issues. IF YOU OWN MORE THAN ONE TAKE BAG AND DO NOT PAGE STAFF WE WILL DELETE ALL TAKE BAGS YOU OWN ALONG WITH THEIR CONTENTS AND YOU WILL NOT RECEIVE ANOTHER ONE.
7. PVP is only allowed in Felucca. PVP is by consent only. Anyone that attacks anyone outside of Felucca will automatically be banned with no questions asked period. The ONLY AND I DO MEAN ONLY exception to this rule is if players are in opposing factions. Faction members can be attacked anywhere at any time WITH THE EXCEPTION OF LUNA. THE ENTIRE TOWN OF LUNA IS A SAFE ZONE FOR ALL PLAYERS. Anyone who attacks an opposing faction member in Luna will face:
1st offense - jailed for 48 hours
2nd offense – required to leave your faction
3rd offense - BANNED
8. We do allow afk macroing as long as it is NOT in a town. Anyone found AFK macroing inside a town (any town period) will find that skill set to 0.0. Macro OUTSIDE of towns, at your home, or in the training room.
9. We are a custom server so do not expect us to dulplicate OSI shards because it is not going to happen. Custom monsters are harder, custom drops are often very hard to come by. Do Not complain about it, if you find our shard to hard then you are either not appying yourself properly or you are used to gimme gimme shards where everything is given to you. You can either try harder, ask other players for help, wait until your character is stronger and better equipped, or find another shard to play on. Complaining about how hard a monster is will result in either you being squelched, or a staff member may come along and make the mob even stronger while your fighting it. I HATE whiners period!
10. DO NOT BEG FOR ITEMS, GOLD, GEAR, OR ANYTHING ELSE FROM PLAYERS OR STAFF. If you want something work for it like everyone else did. Anyone found to be begging from players or staff will find:
1st offense – squelched for 24 hours
2nd offense – jailed and squelched for 48 hours
3rd offense – permanently squelched
4th offense – BANNED
11. BUG EXPLOITATION – Plain and simply DO NOT DO IT. If you find a bug report it to a staff member immediately, we reward those who report bugs without exploiting them. If you do not report it and you exploit it there is ONLY one result, YOU WILL BE BANNED AND FIREWALLED.
12. This one covers a few things.
1st – if you need staff assistance USE THE PAGING SYSTEM. Not all staff uses hearall so they do not know that you need assistance if you do not page.
2nd – You have a trash for gold bag on creation, you can also get a trash for tokens bag in the start room – use one of those or a trash barrel for items you do not want. DO NOT LITTER. Anyone found littering will find their litter super glued in their backpack and the weight will be increased 100% for one full week.
3rd – Snooping other players is ONLY allowed with that players consent. If you snoop someone without asking permission first you will have your snooping, hiding, stealth, and stealing skills ALL set to 0.0. If you want to work snooping up then get a merc take him to your yard and run a snooping macro on him.
13. We know that most players who play on private/free shards have owned or played around with their own shard at one time or another. While we appreciate any ideas you may have for the shard, and we are willing to take any and all ideas into consideration and many will be implemented. We do ask however that players not ask to be made staff. We get our staffers from our player-base, and you must first prove yourself as a player before we will consider anyone as a staff member. If you create an account and immediately ask to be made staff you will NEVER be offered a staff position under any circumstances period.
14. Have Fun, enjoy yourself here on KoTRT. We love our players and our players love us and that is because of these rules that we have set up. So join us and come see why our players stay once they join!
