A winter festival is a great idea! Maybe a x-mas house deco contest, not everyone would have to enter, but it could be fun. A x-mas theme scavenger hunt. Oh and the polar bear idea is great. Maybe a way to tame and train reindeer and have them fight. just an idea. I have tons but Im rambling. 
And scavenger hunts are always nifty! Maybe Lord Brittish is having a christmas bash and his helpers need a little more, well help getting things together! We could go collect random stuffs...*deep breath* ok christmas is mondo fab and UO christmas just plain rocks!!!!!
