okay on a few occassions we have had problems with players logging in and their characters being dead and their items had decayed. I think we have figured out why you guys sometimes log in and find your characters dead. If you were out hunting and got poisoned or had something done to you that causes damage over time, then you go to your house and log out without removing the damaging affect or curing the poison you will still die.
With your pets you always lore them to make sure they are wonderfully happy and all ailments are cured, so with your player characters you need to make sure that you cure/heal yourself before you log out. This should elimate the problem of logging in and finding yourself dead.
Also make sure that if you have insured items that you always keep enough loose gold in your bank box to cover the insurance for your items. If you do happen to die after you log out, if there was not enough gold in your bank to cover the insurance then the items will decay and will be lost.
