Myron Ironfist, a miner by trade, had traveled the lands around Yew for three weeks taking orders for various ores, ingots, granite and gems and was headed back to his mining camp in the mountain pass of the Peaks of Disgrace. He had left Yew early that morning and was ready to be back at his camp. He was concerned that cutpurses and thieves liked to use the pass as a shortcut instead of going around the mountain and he was worried that his tools and belongings would be stolen. This trip had taken much longer than he had expected. With his mind elsewhere and not watching the surrounding woods he made an easy target and as he approached the base of the pass he was ambushed by a band of Brigands. He was badly injured, unable to even stand he used the last of his strength to drag his beaten and bloodied body into the edge of the trees near the base of the mountain.

Around mid-day Elmed the Cleric was heading back to Yew after tending a warrior who had been injured while attempting to slay the great dragon Snarlspew. He was glad to be out of the trecherous pass as it was slow going and dangerous with rock slides. Seeing the woods ahead he knew that flat ground would soon be under his feet again, it would only be a few more hours and he would be back in Yew. He was anxious to return to his other patients and make sure that everything at the Abbey was running smoothly.

As he got closer to the woods he heard a sound that he knew only to well. The sound of a seriously wounded person. He followed the sounds and found Myron lying about 20 feet in the trees. He didn’t know how Myron had come to be in this condition but he did know that if he did nothing for him Myron would be dead by nightfall.

Elmed cleansed and tended Myron's wounds as best he could with the limited supplies he had on hand, having used most of his spell components and potions treating the warrior the night before. Knowing that if he left the injured miner to his own devices he would be dead in short order, Elmed decided to take him with him back to the Abbey so that he could recuperate from his injuries both physical and mental. Elmed placed Myron across his mounts saddle and decided that the sooner he left for Yew the sooner he would get there.

Upon reaching Yew, Elmed took the beaten miner straight to the Clerics Hall. Myron was admitted to the infirmary and has since been receiving potions to heal his physical wounds and keep him sleeping so he can heal faster. The Clerics have been casting spells and prayers have been being spoken over his sleeping body asking the Gods to heal the mental wounds and keep his soul safe during his recovery.

As you enter the Clerics Hall you are welcomed by the smell of burning Sage, Lavender and Chamomile instead of the stench of decay and illness. One of the Clerics sees you and approaches….
