    Plant Growing Guide
*Again I take no credits for this, Malaryia posted it(Dunno if its hers) on the old forums, just thought it would help here*
List of needed items to grow your plants:
    1. Plant Bowl ( can be purchased at any Provisioner Shop )
    2. Water ( a pitcher wich can be purchased from Tavern Waiters )
    3. Dirt ( this can be fertile dirt collected off monsters which will require a stack of 40#, or a Dirt tile in a garden or Road side)( fertile can can be gathered from Earth Elmentals in Despise Dungeon, or off other various Monsters)
4.Seeds ( these can be gathered off many monsters in game, most seeds gathered are level 1)( Bonzi seeds can be gathered in the Fan Dancer Dojo there are many different seeds that are gatherable throught the shard)
    5. Potions (Greater Heal, Greater Poison, Greater Cure, and Greater Strength)
( potions can be crafted by a player using the Alchemy Skill or purchased from other players)

Start your plant by fist filling the bowl with dirt ..to do this, you simply double click the bowl, and target the dirt you to fill it with.
Once that is finished double click the bowl to open the gump window, which will allow you to tend your bowl.

You should now see a small window open, with a bowl of dirt in the center, a list of aliiments on the left hand side, and list of remedys on the right hand side, in the top right hand corner is an icon for water, this will have a small red (-) sign beside indicating that it requires water, to water the plant, have your pitcher of water in your pack, and click the icon, the (-) sign will turn yellow indicating it still requires more, but be careful not to click it to many times at once, when the (-) sign disappears it has had enough, if a (+) sign appears, it has had to much, and the dirt will become squishy, that is a bad thing, and best thing to do in this situation is empty the bowl and start over.

To empty the bowl, if you have over watered it, click on the bowl icon in the lower right hand corner of the gump, then check the ok button, and start from step one again.
Now once your bowl has been properly moistened with water, we can now add the seed of your choice, to do this simply click the seed, and target the bowl, this action will plant the seed for you. Now be sure to lock down or secure the bowl, to allow your plant to grow properly, its best to do this in a house you own.
wonderful, now you have a nice baby plant to tend and grow.
To keep your plant healthy it will require daily care, for up to at least 10 days
to see if your plant requires water, always check the little water icon in the top right corner, look for red or yellow (-) sign, if the sign is there it needs water, if it has no (-) sign, it is doing fine on water at that time. if it has a red or yellow (+) sign, Stop watering it. till it shows the (-) sign again.
All plants get fungus from time to time, and this is where the potions come in.
look at the gump again, on the left hand side is an ailment listed, some form of fungus, wich can kill your plant, to know if your plant has this fungus, look to see if there is a red or yellow (+) sign next to the fungus, if so you need to treat your plant for that fungus, to do this, look at the chart, and straight aross from the fungus is a listed remedy potion, if the (+) sign is red, it requires 2 potions, if it is yellow it requires 1 potion. The Potion required will always be straight across from the fungus or ailment it has, so it will be easy to tell which potion you need.
the last icon on the left is the plants health, giving it strength potions, will help raise its health, and make it a stronger plant, allowing it to fight off more fungus.
Your plant will go through a GROWTH CHECK every 24 hours (give or take 1 hour), if your plant is in a valid growth location, it will succeed and your plant will grow by one level, possibly more if fertile dirt was used, if the groth check fails nothing will happen, you plant simply wont grow any.
Valid Growth Locations are : Locked down in your house, or one you are co-owner of, your bank box, your paper doll pack, or in a beetle. You will need to be logged in for the growth check to succeed, if it is in one of the later three locations, if it is locked down at a house, your plants will grow once you are logged in. So houses are safer places to keep your plants, if you are going on vaction or not able to log in for a few days. You can also set the security level on plants, to allow friends to help tend them if you may be gone for a while and will not be able to do so yourself.

    Reproduction
Resourses are gathered from your plants at a later stage, once its grown enough, and has been polinated, you can polinate your plants by clicking the flower icon on the gump, first icon on the left hand side, here you will see the icons for polination, resouces, and seeds, first you will need to polinate your plant, so it will produce resources and seeds, do this by clicking the first icon listed, then targeting the plant itself to polinate it to proce that type of seed, or targeting another plant, to cross polinate it to produce a new type of plant seed, many different types and colors of seeds can be produced by polinating, (a very helpful tool, for knowing which plants to cross polinate to get the desired type of plant you want is the "FLORIST SEED COMPANION" . ) Once polinated, the plant will begin to produce resources and seeds, its best to let the plant complete this stage, before setting it into deco mode, so you will have more cross bred seeds to work with, some plants will grow extra resourses, like petals, leaves or thorns, by clicking the middle icon you can gather these, the last icon is for the seeds, by clicking on it you can gather those. If there is a red (X) beside the icon there is nothing to gather, as stated before, some plants wont produce resources or seeds.
Once you have grown your plant to maturity, and gathered all the desired resources from it, you can then set it to deco mode, this will stop the growing process, and give you a pretty decoration to use to decorate your houses and gardens, to set a plant into deco mode, first check to see it is fully grown, and have gathered what you want from it, once its set to deco mode, it CAN NOT be undone, so be sure to gather what you want first. Next, look at the icon at the top of the Reproduction gump, in the top right hand corner, if your plant is fully grown you will see the icon of a plant with a red (\) through it, click that icon to go to the deco mode gump, then click the green check mark if you wish to proceeed, or the red (X) if you wish to turn back.

Other helpful Items provided in game are Sprinklers, these can be obtained from the vendor stone in Malas/Luna at the bank, the the water sprinkler will require a watering can to refill it, the potion sprinklers will not need refilling, and these items can be purchased for ingame gold, very helpful, those who like to mass grow plants, plants keys for storing seeds will identify the various seeds types, so you know what the seed is before planting it.

I noticed a few errors in the plant guide. You stated before that you didn't create this guide Crox so thought I would clear them up for you. Hope you dont take offense.

    1. It only takes 20 fertile dirt not 40 per plant bowl.
    2. You do not need to be logged into the game for the plants to suceed in a growth check, the plants just need to be healthy and in a valid location (locked down in your yard or house, in your backpack on your paperdoll or in your bankbox). The best way to insure healthy plants is to water them once a day and tend to their ailments. It is also a good idea to add one heal potion per day to keep the plants "vibrant" (this is the highest level of health a plant can reach).

The sprinklers that we have in the game do a wonderful job of making plant tending easier. There are a total of five sprinklers that you can buy on the vendor stone at Luna bank, they are: Poison, Cure, Strength, Heal, and Water. The water sprinkler also requires a Sprinkler Filling container and you will need water source such as a water trough. It takes 1 1/2 sprinkler containers of water to completely fill your Water Sprinkler.

I have noticed that the Heal Sprinklers do not work. So if your plants get a red or yellow (-) beside the skull on the plant gump simply apply one or two Greater Heal potions (but no more than two) to the plant and during the next growth check the plant will return to normal condition but it will not grow.

If you are going to be away for more than 24 - 48 hours release all your plants or plant bowls and place them in a storage container that is not in your backpack or bank box. This will "suspend" the growing process until you are able to return and lock them back down and begin tending them again. When you place them back in your yard or house and lock them back down the growth process picks back up where you left off.

The gardeners storage key is great for storing only the potions you need for plant tending and they also store fertile dirt, plant bowls, and those highly cherrished SEEDS!!! This is the greatest resource that I have ever seen for plant growers since it can store ALL of the resources that us UO Horticulturists need to maintain and produce all those wonderful Decorative Plants everyone so wants.

Hope this helped and again please do not take any offense Crox Smile
